Winter Words, Cozy Reads & Community Connections

❄️ Winter Words, Cozy Reads & Community Connections

Winter is the perfect season to slow down, gather close, and share stories that warm both hearts and imaginations. Short and sweet, a few winter reads for little hands, a thank you to Little Lambs Prescehool, plus an invitation to submit questions for an upcoming interview with the authors of Do Not Disturb: How to Say No to Your Phone.

Watching children light up through story and shared joy is always a reminder of why we do this work. Books paired with music create a powerful, memorable experience, especially for young listeners just beginning their reading journey.

🐑 Author Visit: Kim Childress Sharing Stories & Songs

I am excited and honored to share that I’ll be visiting Little Lambs Preschool, where I will share with very young readers how books are made, and reading aloud The Gift of Words and dancing along to the Barefoot Books Sing-Along series.  Watching children light up through story and shared joy is always a reminder of why we do this work. Books paired with music create a powerful, memorable experience, especially for young listeners just beginning their reading journey.

I love talking books with students of all ages. Please reach out if interested in scheduling an author visit or bookstore popup event.

💬 Help Shape an Upcoming Author Interview

Coming soon: an interview with the authors of Do Not Disturb: How to Say No to Your Phone, our November featured giveaway.

✨ As a mom of four, I would love to hear from other parents, teachers, anyone who has wondered about phone use. I know what I want to ask, but I would love know, What questions would you ask?

  • Parenting in a phone-filled world?
  • Helping kids build healthy screen habits?
  • Digital balance, anxiety, and attention?
  • Or something else entirely?
