Childress Ink & Ink-a-Dink Partnerships

We proudly collaborate with organizations and publishers large and small who champion quality storytelling, diverse voices, and books that inspire curiosity, empathy, and joy. These partnerships allow us to curate thoughtful booklists, host author events, support emerging creators, and connect readers with stories that matter.
At Childress Ink and Ink-a-Dink Children’s Bookstore, partnerships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe stories are most powerful when they are shared—and that literacy thrives through collaboration, community, and care. We are honored to work alongside publishers, literacy organizations, educators, and community partners who share our commitment to inclusive, meaningful access to books.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – West Michigan | Early Bird Books
Childress Ink and Ink-a-Dink proudly support Early Bird Books, the West Michigan branch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an extraordinary program dedicated to delivering free, high-quality books to children from birth through age five. We are honored to support this mission of nurturing early literacy and family reading traditions throughout our community.
Hindi’s Libraries
Through our partnership with Hindi’s Libraries, we help promote access to books for children and families who may not otherwise have them. This collaboration reflects our shared belief that books should be a source of comfort, possibility, and belonging for every child.
Read Your World
We are proud partners of Read Your World, an organization dedicated to building inclusive literacy spaces and ensuring that children see themselves—and others—represented in the stories they read. Together, we support programming and book selections that celebrate culture, identity, and global perspectives.
We Need Diverse Books
Childress Ink and Ink-a-Dink are committed supporters of We Need Diverse Books, advocating for publishing and literacy spaces that reflect the full spectrum of human experience. We believe representation matters—and that diverse stories help young readers grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals.
Community Partnerships
Giving back is an essential part of our mission. We work with local schools, homeless shelters, and women’s shelters to help provide books, literacy resources, and reading opportunities to children and families in need. Whether through donations, curated booklists, or literacy-focused events, we strive to meet communities where they are and support them through the power of story.
